The existing website for True Boutique was half implemented a couple years before they reached out to MicroBrand to assist. They had gone a route that a lot of small business owners go and started on something themselves using a website builder, but had stalled along the way and needed some help getting the project back in swing.
Our first step was to visit the boutique up in Broadmead Village to get a sense of what they were up to in terms of location, experience, vernacular.
True Boutique offers a really organized customer experience in the store, which guided our approach to design and online user experience. We aimed for a clean look and feel with a contemporary design and user experience while keeping it pleasing and accessible to a wide audience.
Our approach was to create a fullscreen branded slideshow with a simple call to action directly on the homepage. We kept the navigation tucked into a touch-style flyout menu that is consistent across all devices and screens.
Ensuring the website was optimized for all devices from touchscreen phones to retina iMacs was really important. We laid the groundwork for future expansion of the website into e-commerce and online sales and kept the layouts clean, organized and branded on every page.
New Business Cards
To compliment the website, we created new business cards to extend the clean, minimal style of the website into the physical world. The new cards are a premium, thick stock with silk laminate and delicate spot gloss to create a bit of texture, shine and depth over key elements on both sides.
