Spring is finally coming to Victoria! When the sun is streaming through your window, it’s hard to stare at a screen all day. We’ve compiled a list of our favourite views around the city that you can visit on your lunch break.
Beacon Hill Park
A ten minute walk from downtown, Beacon Hill is one of the best places in the city for spring flowers.
Chinatown has several neat back alleys which are great for local shopping and photographs! Also a great place to get lunch.
While the front of Victoria’s Legislative Buildings are usually packed with tourists on sunny days, the back is always empty. There’s some beautiful gardens, and the steps are a nice place to eat lunch.
It’s also beautiful at night time when the lights come on!
Soon to be home to Victoria’s new international marina, the Songhees walkway is a great place to watch float planes take off.
It also gives you a unique perspective on downtown Victoria!
Dallas Road/Ogden Point
Dallas Road is a beautiful, easy walk that’s fairly close to town.
It’s also a great place to watch all the cruise ship action in the summer!
The road up to Mt. Doug is a quick drive or walk (and beautiful in the snow!)
The views from the top are always amazing!
